Rates

My rates are negotiable, which means that we agree your requirements first and then match the cost, so that you only pay for what you need. Please ring or email me to discuss your project!

In translation, the rate varies depending on the size of the document, i.e. I do larger jobs for a lower rate; on how technical the document is, on the deadline (rush jobs are more expensive), on the complexity of the layout etc.

You get a discount if the same text is to be translated into both Czech and Polish.

In interpreting, the rate varies mainly depending on the length of the working day and on the location of the job. Travelling expenses are paid in addition. Rates for telephone interpreting on request.

And here is a general overview for guidance only:

Translations	£70-£99 per thousand words minimum charge: £40
Interpreting consecutive & whispered simultaneous	£260-£300 per 8 hour day £280-£320 per 8 hour day If appropriate, a part-day or a per-hour rate is agreed.
Proofreading, research, assessments	£25-£35 per hour
Language tuition	£30-40 per hour
